Details of
Task : Compile a Reflective Journal (weighting
25%).
Provide an overall concluding discussion of the unit which draws
together your major observations about organisational change and development as
studied during the semester. This exercise should be written in the first
person (I did, I learned, I will). Discuss how your ideas about organisational
change and development have changed or been reinforced over the semester. What
have you learned about managing organisational change through this subject that
is of benefit to you and/or an organisation you work for or have knowledge of?
What implications do your studies of this unit have for you in the future? What
more do you need to learn or do? How will you develop your own knowledge and
skills? Do not merely summarise each week's readings. Instead, explain how the
readings, discussions, films, and your observations have helped you understand
and apply organisational change and development concepts to your work or life
experiences and/or goals? How will you improve where improvement is needed?

Although you need to write in
the first person, this is an academic essay and should be referenced in the
normal manner. Provide an overall word count at the end of the document and a
reference list.

- Discussion question: Compare and contrast the various models of planned change. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each. Develop and explain your ‘ideal’ model of planned change.
- What kind of ethical principles and considerations would confront an OD practitioner and how may they be addressed?
